Energy Efficiency Rebates

Sierra Electric partners with Tri-State G & T on an Energy Efficiency Products Rebate Program and encourages co-op members to use electricity efficiently.  The rebate program offers cash incentives to members who make a decision to purchase more efficient products in their home or business.

There are a wide variety of rebates available; the most common are highlighted below.  For more information, complete the inquiry form and a customer service representative will contact you.  Keep in mind, only members of the cooperative are eligible to participate, the product must be new and installed in Sierra Electric service territory, the request must be submitted within 90 days of purchase or installation and proof of purchase and installation is required.

Energy Star® Appliances and Household Items

Residential rebates are available for Energy Star® rated electric appliances, such as:

  • Full size refrigerators/freezers (full-size is 7.75 cubic feet or greater)
  • Clothes Washers (top or front load)
  • Clothes Dryers (standard or vent-less)

Other residential rebates are provided for Induction cooktops, Smart Thermostats and Whole House Fans.

LED's and Lighting

    Residential LED lamps and fixtures

    Specifications for Eligible Products:

    • Residential LED light bulbs, lamps or fixtures 500 lumens or greater
    • Medium, GU24 or other residential/light commercial oriented base or fixtures with integrated LEDs
    • Member-owner account cap of 50 lamps per year

      Heat Pumps

      Heating product rebates are available for both Residential and Commercial Members, subject to program requirements, such as:

      • Electric Thermal Storage & Thermal Slab

      • Electric Heat Pump-Air Source

      • Electric Heat Pump-Ground Source

      Electric Water Heaters

      Sierra Electric Cooperative, Inc. will provide a $50 rebate for electric water heater purchase and installation in a home or business served by us.

      Statement of Non-Discrimination

      To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.  To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.  Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:
